The Ghost of Purulia

In an interview to Times Now, Kim Davy and Peter Bleach, have revealed disturbing facts about the Purulia Arms Drop case on the midnight of 17 December, 1995. The motive of the action was more politics than military. It seems that the West Bengal Left Front government was targeted through the drop so that it could be destabilized.

A Brief History

Kim is 47 year old Dutch citizen and is a key accused in the case. He mysteriously disappeared from the Sahar International Airport in Mumbai after the aircraft from which the arms were dropped was grounded. He was caught in Denmark recently and the local government has agreed to extradite him to India for trials.

Peter is a British and deals in arms. He was on the aircraft along with Kim. He served a sentence already for his role in this infamous case.

It was an Antonov AN 26 Latvian aircraft which carried on the operation. After some years of investigation by Indian agencies, a local court had ruled that the arms were intended for a socio-cultural organization called Anand Margee.

Latest story

According to Peter, the arms were dropped in a move to show the West Bengal LF government in a poor light and create scene of negativity so that it could be ousted and President’s Rule could be imposed. All this was masterminded by the P.V.Narsimha Rao government at the center. The following is the link to the text of the televised interview.

Kim has claimed the support of jailed former RJD MP Pappu Yadav for fleeing out of India via Nepal right after the drop. He had the following to say to Times Now. "When the plane landed at the Mumbai airport at that time we were not surrounded by anybody, we were quite free. So since I was a bit nervous about what was going to happen, I slipped in the background and when I saw that the police started coming I slipped away from the airport. From there I went to Pune. I stayed a night in Pune. From Pune I was told through my contacts with the MP that I should fly as soon as possible to Delhi and when I arrived at Delhi airport I was received in the MPs personal car and put in the backseat and driven to his official residence within the sight of the President's residential dome."

"And at his home, at Pappu Yadav's home Mr JK Dutt arrived shortly afterwards and arranged for the transport by train that evening from Delhi to a very small train station that I could not see because I was packed in blankets. There another diplomatic or what should I say an official car was waiting, plus two other cars with AK-47 guards who then drove me directly from the platform of the station over the border into Nepal and dropped me at the bus depot on the Nepali side from where I escaped back to Denmark," added Davy.

What does this all mean?

Communism has been on a decline everywhere in the world. Russia and China are the only significant bastions remaining. All other governments want the end of communist rule in the entire world. India is at the center stage of the World Economy at this point of time. Foreign powers want the end of any Communist-based political influence in India so that the policies Free and Unimpeded Trade can be applied uniformly across the country.

Left Front has very quickly pounced on this anti-Communist expose to win back the voters’ support in the ongoing Assembly Elections in West Bengal. It claims a wider conspiracy against the Left movement across the country and terms this case as a proof for that.

Meanwhile, CBI has come out with a strong statement clearing the governments or any of its officials name in the case. It sees this as an act of terrorism and will continue to try Kim Davy for the same.

God knows what the truth is. But, if this has been orchestrated by the Government of India, it is indeed a question of great concern. It means a Civil War of a different kind where the dolly of terrorism is used to unsettle the rivals and gain political mileage. Everybody knows that people of West Bengal have shown faith in Left Front for over 30 straight years now. Politically, opponents have not been able to break this stranglehold. They are very well supposed to see illegal and unethical means to grab power. This could be just one way which has caught attention of the Media and the Nation.

Politics at this low level will tear India apart some day. Divide and Rule was clearly adopted by Indian politicos from the British. They have gone a step ahead and made sure that the game gets murkier each passing day and it keeps away any good-natured person from trying to join and do clean politics.
